Increasingly we seem to find ourselves needing novel solutions to tech problems, but I think having to crowbar a disk drive is a new one even for us
This elderly Dell had its Hard Drive so jammed in, that even when we had undone the retaining screws we couldn’t persuade it to move. Our trusty Wickes Crowbar provided just the right leverage to get in behind and free the Drive. The computer eventually underwent the PC equivalent of “Open Heart Surgery” and emerged to the light of day more powerful and with a shiny new SSD drive.
Don’t worry, its most unlikely that we would need to resort to such measures to repair your laptop or mobile phone, however when the need arises we always try to find a way!
